Creating the Ultimate Blend of Elegance and Functionality

Solid-surface countertops are a blend of acrylic polymers and materials derived from natural stone. Solid-surfacing simulates marble, granite or other hard stone. It is widely considered to be the lowest-maintenance luxury countertop material and is often recommended for busy kitchens because of its durability and lack of porosity. Because solid surface counters are just what they're called, solid, any scratches can be sanded out. Solid surfacing is sold in matte and glossy finishes. Color choices in the past were limited to some pretty boring earth tones, but many new patterns and designs are emerging.

All That Jazz

Solid Surface is a durable kitchen counter surface that has some unique qualities. It is softer then granite or quartz which means it can scratch or dent if struck. That softness however lowers the chance of breaking glasses or other items that may impact the surface. Has a moderate resistance to heat.

Solid Surface countertops are generally priced between $70 - $100 per square foot.

Solid surface are fairly easy to maintain and require no annual sealing.

Standard solid surface countertops are general not very green. However some manufacturers offer the product with recycled content.
